"Organic food not healthier---Eating organic food does not provide any significant nutritional benefits, a new study finds. "

なんて記事が今日のってたよ。

そして脇に小さく "No difference"

ったく何の回し者だろー。

"The study, commissioned by Britain's Food Standards Agency (FSA) and published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, threatens to deal a new blow to the organic food lobby.
The review indicates that there is currently no evidence to support the selection of organically over conventionally-produced foods on the basis of nutritional superiority."
Organic food, devoid of additives and produced without chemicals such as fertilisers and pesticides, has become an increasingly popular choice on supermarket shelves in recent years.
But it is typically more expensive than regular foodstuffs, and as such has already been hit by the global recession, making shoppers think twice about paying more for organically-grown vegetables and such like.
But its supporters underlined other benefits of organic produce, notably for the environment.
"Organic farming is a holistic, integrated approach which conserves soils, encourages biodiversity, eliminates greenhouse gas-intensive nitrogen inputs, conserves genetic diversity, and brings more income to the grower," said Andrew Lee of the Sustainable Development Commission.
"And is very probably healthier to boot," he wrote.
"Other environmental benefits are self-evident -- there's less dangerous waste on organic farms and almost no pesticide use. Artificial nitrogen fertiliser is banned in organic farming, so there's less runoff of nutrients that cause algae blooms in coastal waters," she said."

No one was really told it was better?
Who was told it wasn't?
All just presumed it was better for us?

Maybe some people are buying following reason,

(1) It was natural, and had pictures of grass and fields and cows and things on the packets.

(2) When you buy organic things, and serve organic things up to guests, it's like you're saving the environment. Indeed, you may, in some way, be saving a few leeks from harm or whatever but it's used as another way of saying you're rich or care about your health. On top of the” I'm-organic-so-I'm-better-than-you label”, there is also the price thing. The more expensive a food, the more you think it must be great, the more recognition you get from guests for being able to buy it. But expensive things aren't great. I mean, have you ever tried caviar? It is not as half as good as advertised. And lot of people think like this also,

Some people said,
"I take those two cents and stick them in my pocket. its down to budget for me I buy the non organic veg, get more of it and it lasts longer, so to me its all a myth expensive food for what may be better for you. "

But some people don't mind the few extra cents but some people mind.

SO how about the taste actually? The most of people swear that organic tastes nicer,
For the taste, MY opinion is depends how you taste, but this could to do with the fact that the food is nice in season and fresh and also lack of pesticides is hardly going to affect the taste.

IN True, Organic veg in the super market are not all "pure organic foods". off course there are pure, too.(For pure organic there is a label .)
The difference is the chemicals are put into the soil not on the crops there by they can say Organic.
But they don't use as many fertilizers, pesticides and additives so much as fully chemical contaminated one. thus its better for your body (no poisons).
I hear from the farmer who use fully chemical, they are not willing to eat their own veg,
SO scare!
WE, lot of people buy it because it's not doused in chemicals.

To get organic certificates, its not easy, labor standards, working pattern issues also counted, and it takes 10 years of cultivating a strip of land to bring it back to organics conditions, and many other things.

ORGANIC--- Certainly the quality is better !
